The Year In Review

As we say good bye to 2007 and hello to the New Year I thought it might be a good time to reflect on what we've done, what we're doing, and what we plan to get done in 2008.

Matches was finished (and it looks awesome). Bryce is at work submitting the finished project to film festivals and we are working out the details for DVD's for friends, family, cast, and crew. Expect more information on the premiere screening early in the New Year.

The Paranormalists is in the capable hands of Mike our sound editor. Brian, master composer for stage and screen, is putting the finishing touches on the score and with any luck sound will be totally finished in January before the whole package gets finalized with our editor Kyle. We've got a great team working on these final beats of the project and as soon as they have finished we will roll out a premiere of the finished picture with Matches in a gala event. Well, maybe gala is a bit grand...I picture big dresses and tuxes when I hear gala. I was thinking more jeans and a beer.

Work will continue on Failing Upwards, which has been getting a great response. We have a third sketch finished and it will be posted to myspace next year. Thank you to everyone who has watched The Assistants and Bathroom Buddies. If you can, give us a hand and spread it around to the friends and family as you head home this holiday season.

Lastly, we have begun work on a new project - a short that caters to the geek-set and will hopefully speak to the folks familiar with Comicon. I don't want to spill to many detail right now beyond that so stay tuned for more updates as we get preproduction under way.

Thanks to everyone for the support throughout the last year; we've accomplished a lot in the past 12 months and as we gear up for the next phase in our scheming it's good to know that we have a solid base of folks keeping tabs and keeping us (mostly) honest. Have a great Holiday, a Happy New Year, and we hope to see you all on the other side.

Addendum

Perhaps I should have been more direct. The sketches are done and the first one has been posted to our Myspace page. Please check out the first episode of Failing Upwards, The Assistants, and let us know what you think!

For those not in the know, you can click the link to the right (Tomorrow The World! on Myspace) to find the video.

More and more and more...

I won't lie, we had a bit of a lapse in communication there. I'm not going to take all the credit for it though; admit it blogoshere you haven't been all that forthcoming yourself. Just so it's clear it's not all my fault I think we can salvage this relationship.

So we've been busy. The Sketches are done, or I suppose I should say that the first three episodes are done. We've decided to call the whole series FAILING UPWARDS - a call out to our own hopes and dreams here in the biz. Right now it's our hope to post one of them a week for the forseeable future, so please check them out. Our thanks go out to the cast and crew as deliniated below who gave us a weekend or so of their lives in exchange for pizza, cupcakes, and soda.

To take care of a bit of housekeeping, I wanted to post the behind the scenes video that was put together for the Matches DVD. Bryce's movie is done, done, done, and while we are still working out some final distribution issues it's totally rad to have the picture locked down. To celebrate you should take a look at Matches: Behind the Genius in order to get a taste of things to come.

Forthcoming

Hello, Ciao, Hola, and γειάσου

We’ve been busy lately and that’s why we haven’t been so good about the updates. So get off my back mom, alright?

With Matches so close to done it hurts, we decided we needed a new project. Since the Lord of the Rings was already produced and it’s a little to soon to start talking about remaking it we had to come up with some of our own ideas. So we did that. This weekend we took those ideas and committed them to tape with the help of some close associates of TTW. Our thanks go out to Matt Bettinelli, Chester Maple, Liz Martinez-Nelson, Scott Towler, Maggie Reid, Adam Malinger, and Joe Patrow for helping us make the most of this very busy weekend.

We’ll be heading into post very soon with the material and hope to post the three finished sketches here and on our myspace site within the next few weeks.

A Birth...

We are happy to announce that we are now parents: Last night at 11:30, Bryce gave birth to a short film! After an extended labor the professionals welcomed the new arrival into the world with all the pomp and circumstance expected the harbringer of the apocalypse. At a petite 12 minutes, the proud parent decided to name the little guy Matches. We hope to have a little something to celebrate this joyus occation soon.

Congrats to Bryce; great job to the post production team!

For the Good and True

Celebrate, oh wanting masses. Here's a bone, a tid-bit if you will for all the folks who have been asking about The Paranormalists. This making-of featurette will be featured on the DVD for the short, but we thought we would toss it up here for those of you interested enough to check it out. So please, take a gander and let us know what you think.

Good news on the Matches front; after a spirited session last night with his sound designer, Bryce tells us that the picture is nearly finished.

And the people rejoiced.

Branching Out

When the three of us got together and decided to create tomorrow the world, we had a few set goals in mind: make good movies, propogate a few good ideas, and make our best effort at filling the web with sites devoted to ourselves.

Well those first two goals might be a ways off, but I'm happy to report that TtW is one step closer to web domination (wedomination) with the launching of our own myspace site. For those of you not savey with the interweb, let me break it down for you. Myspace is this new service that allows people who weren't hugged enough as kids, chosen last to play on the kick ball team, or have mommy and daddy issues to act out in a totally anonymus way. No longer do you have ACTUALLY become a cutter to get your parent's attention; now you can just play one on the internet. Since we also have our own problems with attention (or lack there of) it seemed like this myspace thing was made for us.

So there you have it. Big news, yes?

Oh, yeah Matches is nearing completition and The Paranormalists is still working out some bugs on sound.
